Ryukyu Nature Positive（琉球ネイチャーポジティブ）始動しました！/ Ryukyu Nature Positive has launched!

2025年4月1日より、Ryukyu Nature Positive（琉球ネイチャーポジティブ）として、活動を開始しました。沖縄や奄美の生物多様性を脅かす外来種を入れたロゴデザインにしました。 On April 1, 2025, I launched the new activities as the Ryukyu Nature Positive, sole proprietorship. I designed a logo featuring invasive alien species that threaten the biodiversity of Okinawa and Amami regions.

2024年3月から外来生物企画官として環境省沖縄奄美自然環境事務所で勤務しておりましたが、2025年3月31日をもって退職しました。

行政の中から見る風景は、研究者として関わってきたときとはまた違って、琉球地域の生物多様性、特に外来種対策における課題をこれまでにない視点から見る良い機会となりました。

退職が決まってから今日まで、自分がこれから進むべき方向を模索する日々が続いています。

教員＝＞研究業界＝＞公務員＝＞次はいったい？

そして、個人事業主として独立開業することにしました。

教育、研究、行政、そして民間事業者、どれも生物多様性保全には欠かせないステークホルダーですが、これらをつなぎ、それぞれの推進力を統合するコーディネーターになれればと考えています。

そして、研究ベースで外来種対策の武器となる課題解決への技術開発と実装を進めていきたい。

OKEON美ら森プロジェクトで目指したゴールに少しでも近づけるように

屋号は「Ryukyu Nature Positive」（琉球ネイチャーポジティブ）としました。

いつまで経っても安定しないですが、まだまだ続く試行錯誤のなか、引き続きみなさんからのご支援お願いできましたら幸いです。

I started my personal business.

From March 2024, I worked as a Senior Policy Coordinator for Invasive Alien Species at the Okinawa Amami Nature Conservation Office of the Ministry of the Environment Japan.

However, I resigned from the MoE on March 31, 2025, as my contract had expired.

The view from within the government was different from what I had experienced as a researcher.

It was a good opportunity to look at the issues of biodiversity conservation in the Ryukyu region, and in particular, countermeasures against invasive alien species, from a new perspective.

I have been spending my days considering the direction I should take from now on since the resignation is fixed.

Junior High School Teacher => Researcher => Government Officer => What is the next?

Then I reached to make a decision to go into business for myself.

Education, research, government, and private companies are all essential stakeholders in biodiversity conservation, and I hope to become a coordinator who can connect these and integrate their driving forces.

At the same time, I would like to continue to develop and practical use of the technologies for solving control issues based on research.

I have named my personal business “Ryukyu Nature Positive” in the hope that it will be close to achieving the goals we set out for the OKEON Churamori Project.

I still cannot find a stable life at all, but I would be grateful if you all could support my trial-and-error efforts.
